She graduated from the Film and Television Department of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in 1971. She returned to Poland and began her career in film as Krzysztof Zanussi’s assistant. She joined the group of promising young Polish directors, creators of the cinema of moral anxiety, cooperating with her mentor \u2013 Andrzej Wajda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her films often revolve around political themes or closely related to Poland. Holland\u2019s body of work often reflects her Jewish and Catholic roots, dealing with issues of faith and mysticism. Award-winning director of films such as Provincial Actors, Olivier, Olivier, Total Eclipse, Mr. Jones<\/em>.
