The 11th<\/sup> edition of Freedom Games held in mid-October in Lodz, Poland, gathered people from the world of culture, sports, business, and public life from Poland and abroad, as well as a wide audience.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Freedom Games are a meeting of people curious about the world and hungry for new ideas \u2013 an interdisciplinary festival whose most important goal is to create a creative space for conversation. The slogan of this year\u2019s edition was\u00a0City. Europe. Future<\/strong>. The event program included nearly 130 events:\u00a0panel discussions, round table speeches and debates, several meetings with authors, concerts, as well as the Living Library, an improvised performance, and an urban game<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Altogether, 949 speakers appeared on the stage, including former Prime Minister of Belgium Guy Verhofstadt<\/strong>, Speaker of the Polish Senate, Ma\u0142gorzata Kidawa-B\u0142o\u0144ska<\/strong>; Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage Hanna Wr\u00f3blewska<\/strong>, Polish Minister of Equality Katarzyna Kotula<\/strong>, Polish Minister of Finance Andrzej Doma\u0144ski<\/strong>, Polish Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar<\/strong>, Polish Minister of the European Union Adam Sz\u0142apka,<\/strong> and Polish Minister of Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak<\/strong>, along with numerous MPs, MEPs, presidents and city mayors and mayoresses; business people, creators of culture<\/strong>: Andrzej, Sapkowski, Dorota Mas\u0142owska, Agnieszka Holland, Ewa Puszczy\u0144ska, Maria Peszek, SIKSA, Artur Rojek, Karol Paciorek, Jakub Ru\u017cy\u0142\u0142o, Agnieszka Grochowska, and Jan Holoubek; representatives of science and academia<\/strong>: Carlos Moreno, Yascha Mounk, Edward Reynolds, Wojciech Sadurski; leaders of influential non-governmental organizations, human rights activists<\/strong>: Danuta Wa\u0142\u0119sa, Nazanin Boniadi, Janina Ochojska; commentators, podcasters<\/strong>: Adam Michnik, Dariusz Rosiak, \u0141ukasz Paw\u0142owski, Karolina Lewicka, Maciej G\u0142ogowski, Piotr Stelmach; athletes<\/strong>: Marcin Gortat and Tomasz \u0141api\u0144ski, and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
