Robert Piaskowski is a sociologist, cultural manager, pedagogue, and musician. He is the Director of the National Centre for Culture in Warsaw, overseeing cultural infrastructure, professionalization, and national programs. He founded and serves as Artistic Director of the Krakow Film Music Festival. From 2018 to 2024, he was the Mayor of Krakow’s Plenipotentiary for Culture, and previously, the Program Director of the Krakow Festival Office. He led Krakow’s cultural policy, managed the UNESCO City of Literature program, and represented Krakow in international cultural organizations. He also lectures at universities, including the Jagiellonian University.
