Ambassador Päivi Laine started working at the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1995. She is the Ambassador of Finland to Poland since 9/2022. Prior to that she was the Ambassador of Finland to Ukraine since 2019 and a roving ambassador to Iraq in 2016-19. It is her second posting in Poland, in 2007-2012 she was here as Deputy Head of Mission. Ambassador Laine has long history with Poland and speaks fluent Polish. At her work she aims to strengthen the ties between Finland and Poland.
