Olga Podfilipska-Krysińska

Olga Podfilipska-Krysińska, phd hab. Associate Professor – Polish jeweller and jewellery designer.

She graduated with honours from the Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Lódź, Poland, in the field of artistic jewellery design in 1999. She studied the history of art at the University of Lódź and the theory of art at the Collegium Invisibile in Warsaw. She persuaded her passions by studying jewellery design at the Technical University in Lahti (Finland) and the Metallo Nobile Scuola di Tecnica e Disegnio Orafo in Florence (Italy). In 2002 she completed a design internship in the jewellery company Torrini (the oldest in Florence). In 2003-2006 she cooperated with the Design Office “Wzornik” in Milanówek (Poland)

Since 2004 she has been employed as lecturer at the Jewellery Department of the Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Lódź. She created and managed the Enamel Studio at this Department. She had been the head of Department of Jewellery from 2016 until 2020 and the Dean of Faculty of Design Arts from 2020 until 2024. In 2024 she has started the term as a Vice-Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Lódź.

During last twenty-five years she has taken part in many exhibitions in Poland and abroad (over 60 group exhibitions and 9 individual performances). She presented her pieces in Lithuania, Germany, France, Great Brittan, South Korea and China. Her jewellery pieces are parts of permanent collection of the Amber Museum in Gdańsk (Poland), the Castle Museum in Sandomierz (Poland), the Mizigiris Amber Museum in Nida (Lithuania), the Telšai Faculty of Arts Collection (Lithuania) and the Contemporary Collection of Polish Jewellery of Maria Magdalena Kwiatkiewicz.
