Sociologist, board member of the Citizen Network Watchdog Poland. Co-founder of a grassroots social movement focused on transparency in government and building a sense of responsibility among decision-makers. Member of the International Council of Advisers, Access Info Europe, a European organisation upholding the right to information, and Ashoka, an association of innovators for the public good. Recipient of the POLCUL Foundation Award – a Polish organisation in Australia, honouring social activists. In 2011, she received the Knight’s Cross of the Polonia Restituta Order from the President of the Republic of Poland.
