Gerlinde serves as Deputy Director for Security Cooperation with currently 35 NATO partner countries. These range from Ukraine and Georgia, via Bosnia Herzegovina, to Jordan, or Colombia. The goal is crisis prevention, and to empower partners through reforms in the security sector. In previous positions at NATO, Gerlinde lead NATO’s Communications Services (2003-2012), where she was responsible for all NATO publishing work online and in print; and NATO’s Public Relations Services (2012-2019), where she guided NATO’s engagement with audiences in all NATO nations and partner countries across the globe. Gerlinde holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from Muenster University, Germany.
