Dominika Bychawska-Siniarska

Since 2008, she has been actively promoting freedom of speech in Poland. As the Director of the Media Freedom Observatory at the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, she has led numerous advocacy and awareness campaigns aimed at abolishing defamation laws. She has defended journalists and bloggers in countless cases before domestic courts and has represented clients in over 20 landmark cases related to freedom of expression before the European Court of Human Rights. In her work, she advocates and raises awareness on issues surrounding SLAPP and public media. For years, she has been a strong proponent of legal reforms aimed at enhancing freedom of expression in Poland.
