Anita Szymborska is a political scientist with experience of working in Polish administration and NGOs. After graduating from the Warsaw University (Political Science and International Relations) and the College of Europe, she worked as a specialist involved in Poland’s accession negotiations to the EU. After Poland joined the EU, she was working in the Stefan Batory Foundation coordinating “Friendly EU Border” project. Since the outbreak of the full-scale war in Ukraine, she coordinated various activities for Ukrainian refugees carried out by KIK volunteers, in June 2022, due to the need for professionalization of these efforts, she started to form professional Ukraine Response team at KIK.
