Adam Szłapka – Minister for European Union Affairs, member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, 8th and 9th Sejm. Chairman of Nowoczesna, previously its Secretary General. He is a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Special Services and the Committee on Foreign Affairs.
He was a councillor and vice-chairman of the Kościan Town Council from 2006 to 2010. He served as Secretary General of the Young Centre organisation. In subsequent years, he was director of the Project: Poland Foundation, where he was responsible, among other things, for organising the Razem 89 (Together 89) and Pokolenie Solidarności (Solidarity Generation) projects.
From 2011 to 2015, he worked at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland.
