Aleksandra, together with other Łódź Girls, took part and co-organized numerous protests with Łódź KOD against PiS’s destruction of the judiciary, democracy, and takeover of the media in 2020. One of the main organizers of women’s strikes after the abortion ban introduced by the ruling of the pseudo-Tribunal of Julia Przyłębska. These were the largest protests in Łódź since the Hunger March of Textile Women in 1981. Member of the Let’s Save Women 2017 and Legal Abortion Without Compromises 2021 committees. Candidate in the Łódź City Council elections in 2018 from the Urban Movements committee YES! For Łódź! In 2019, candidate for the European Parliament from Robert Biedroń’s Wiosna list. As part of the “Łodzianka” historical group, she organized the celebration of the 1905 Revolution, commemorating the Łódź Uprising and the memory of workers and insurgents. After the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, together with the Polish Women’s Council, she organized financial assistance for women from SEMA Ukraine, helping women after sexual violence during the war. Executive producer of the album “Niech się dzie siśliny singing” and the theater play “Rewolucja 1905” as well as social campaigns, including: #WybieramPrawaKobiet – a video spot encouraging young women to vote in 2015. She has a PhD in biochemistry, and conducted research at the Virginia State University. Professionally involved in quality assurance in pharmacy and medical devices.
