Julian Braithwaite

Julian has spent thirty years as a British diplomat before joining IARD in March 2024. He was the UK Ambassador and Permament Representative to the WTO and other International Organisations in Geneva, UK Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Political and Security Committee of the European Union. His most recent positions in Governement included Director General for Europe in the Cabinet Office and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Earlier in his career he was director for communications for Lord Paddy Ashdown when he was High Represenative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and speechwriter for Prime Minister Tony Blair. He is educated in the UK and the US.
