Journalist for 45 years, director and editor-in-chief of TVP World. Long-time head of large editorial offices in Warsaw and Moscow, political commentator. In 1985-92 correspondent for Reuters, and later head of its representative office in Poland. From 1997 to 2001 headed Reuters’ office in Russia and the former Soviet Union countries. In 2003-09, was the head of the English-language economic service of the Interfax agency. In 2013, co-founded the Espreso TV news channel in Ukraine. In 2014-17, he was editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine. Until recently, he was a member of the editorial team of Onet.pl and a contributor to Brussels-based POLITICO.
