Sean O’Curneen

Sean O’Curneen

Based in Brussels since 2004, Sean manages the team that supports liberal subnational leaders who help shape EU policies. The work includes the annual Liberal Mayors Summit. He also authors the Letter from Brussels podcast. From 2000 to 2004 he worked at City Hall London coordinating relations with Paris and New York. In the 1990s, he was a journalist at BBC Television in London and Radio France International in Paris. He has a Masters with Distinction in European Politics from Birkbeck College London, completing a dissertation on disaffection in advanced democracies, a Masters in Journalism from Université Aix-Marseille and a BSc Astronomy from University College London. He’s Irish-Spanish.
