Liviu Jicman has been President of the Romanian Cultural Institute since 2021, the leading institution for promoting Romanian culture abroad, and President of the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) since 2024. He graduated from the Faculty of Economic Studies in Foreign Languages at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies and the Faculty of Law at the University of Bucharest. In the past 14 years, he has worked in the cultural field as general director of the Cotroceni National Museum, vice president of the Romanian Cultural Institute, chief of staff and advisor for the Minister of Culture, and member of the National Cultural Fund Administration Board.
