Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus – a sociology graduate of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, she has also completed post-graduate studies in cultural management. Specialist in PR and marketing. President of the Win-Win Foundation, which promotes culture and education. Co-founder of the Voters Association, which works for civil society, and co-founder and long-term vice-president of the Women’s Republic Association, which works for women. Since 2016 she has been a member of the board of directors of Nowoczesna. In 2020 she was elected to the board of the international organization European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Rights. She co-authored a map of paedophilia in the Church and a report on bishops. In 2021, she became a member of the New Left, serving on the party’s national council and later becoming the party’s vice-president. MP since 2015. (8th, 9th, 10th term). Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from 2023 to 2024.
